Laureate College (Burlington Campus), located in Waterdown community, is an Ontario private school that offers Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) program, high school credit courses and small class sizes to students who wish to achieve high academic standing. Our goal is to ensure the success of every student through interactive learning, peer collaboration, and differentiated instruction.

Under the direction of the Housekeeping & Laundry Coordinator, the Housekeeping Worker is responsible for carrying out general cleaning duties. The Worker shall clean a particular space on a regular basis and keep it neat and pleasant. Besides, the Worker shall also replenish supplies, clean and store housekeeping equipment.

**Specific Responsibilities**

Cleaning
- Perform general cleaning duties such as vacuuming, dusting, washing floors, cleaning walls, windows, telephones, picture frames, doors, door and window trim, and light fixtures.
- Empty wastebaskets and dispose of garbage.
- Clean washrooms, tub and shower rooms, furniture and patios.
- Clean up accidents from sisters, residents, visitors or staff as required.
- Participate in the “deep cleaning” process.
- Replace various consumable items in the public area.

Maintenance
- Keep noise to a minimum throughout the building.
- Request supplies as required from the Coordinator.
- Keep housekeeping clean and in working order. Request for repairs as needed.
- Observe strictly all safety and security policies or practices that impact the welfare of residents and report any risks to the Coordinator in a timely manner.
- Maintain current knowledge of fire and other safety procedures.

Others
- Comply with health and safety policies and procedures including compliance with WHMIS and other regulatory requirements.
- Provide assistance and courtesy as needed to the guest and staff requests.
- Attend departmental and staff meetings as required.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Grade 12 or equivalent combination of education/ training and experience.
- Excellent knowledge of cleaning appliances, and cleaning and disinfecting processes.
- Excellent verbal communication skill.
- Good time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Able to work in a minimum supervision.
- Own vehicle for transportation

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
