Dietary Aide

The Role

As a member of the Nutra Services dietary team, the dietary aide will follow established policies, procedures and standards. This position assists with food preparation and serving of meals. As part of the dietary team, the food service worker will provide meal service according to the resident nutritional profile and in a timely manner to maintain a pleasurable dining experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provides assistance to the Cook in the preparation and service of meals.
- Assists in meal preparation, beverage service, nourishment preparation, and catering as assigned.
- Serves meals and beverages, by following residents' diets and food preferences, using the Dietary Profiles and Therapeutic Menus.
- Completes pre-start up equipment checks as necessary.
- Sets and cleans dining tables and trays.
- Area cleaning duties.

Education
- Completed or enrolled in the Food Service Worker certificate program

**Qualifications**:

- Current Food Handler certification

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

COVID-19 considerations:
Must have 3 vaccines

Ability to commute/relocate:

- ORANGEVILLE, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- dietary aide: 1 year (preferred)
