Play Ambassador

The Makery is a unique program that offers play based, exciting experiences to people of all ages. Within our four play spaces, we offer:

- STEM Lab (simple robotics, 3D printing, music making, large scale building and various toys that will stimulate the imagination)
- Move Lab (gross motor equipment and lots of space for games and big movements)
- Mess Lab (filled with art materials that can be used for process based art experiences and messy play as well as a make your own custom slime bar)
- Light Lab (glow light room that offers unique sensory experiences)

We are looking to add a Play Ambassador to our team that has experience working with children and loves planning exciting activities alongside the children.

This would be a 40 hour per week position, and shifts will fall during daytimes, evenings and/or weekends.

You would be responsible for:

- Preparing and facilitating experiences for various ages.
- Guide families through our experience, creating building projects, testing out our simple robots, making slime, messy sensory play, process art experiences and more.
- Assist in leading weekend birthday celebrations.
- Planning and running camps for school aged children during school off days.
- Gather materials and test out new project ideas.
- Helping to ensure our space is tidy and materials are prepared.
- Assist in opening, and/ or closing the space each day.
- Assist customers in answering any questions or resolving any issues that may arise.
- Perform additional tasks as needed.

- Early childhood education training or experience with children is an asset
