**Company description**

Mother Goose is a parent co-operative. We are a non-sectarian, integrated and non-profit school for children ages 2 1/2 to 4 years. We operate 5 days a week from 9am-12 noon throughout the academic school year.

Our program provides a relaxed learning environment for children. We focus on positive and responsive interaction, exploration and inquiry, in a play-based environment.

**Job description**

**Skills**:Communication.

Ability to communicate effectively with both children and adults. Ability to work independently, to be an educator / model for families who take an active role in the classroom. Work closely with one other staff.

Sensitivity. Must be sensitive to the current needs of children and highly observant of their potential needs.

Physical Stamina. You will be standing, bending, moving and lifting. Being a small co-operative, with two staff members, we require someone who is dependable and extremely conscious of regular attendance.

Patience. You absolutely must possess good listening skills, and a complete understanding of child development and the way in which young children operate. Children can cause a wild rumpus, we need this staff to bring a calm, genuine, down to earth presence to our lovely environment.

Joyful. We are seeking someone who loves to be in the company of children, who sees the joy and wonder of each and every child. Someone who comes to work every morning ready to make connections.

Calm. We need someone who is confident and experienced. A professional who knows when to step in and when to observe. Someone who is comfortable letting scenarios play out naturally, aware of the learning potential of each situation.

Organized.

Keep classroom clean and stimulating. Awareness of Health and Safety regulations, including current Covid policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
RECE

First Aid / CPR

Police Check

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 per week
