**Duties**:
The Horticultural Technician works with green infrastructure and is responsible for installing, and maintaining indoor and outdoor plants, builds landscapes, maintains outdoor property, cares for turf grass and maintains/repairs irrigation systems.

HT include the following: Identify nutrient requirements of plants,
- Transplant, install and prune plants.
- Analyze plant watering requirements and install and maintain irrigation systems.
- Establish and maintain turf grass.
- Constructs landscapes according to drawings
- Controls plant pests and diseases using integrated pest management techniques.
- Recycles waste materials.
- Escorts (security) and interacts with Contractors.
- Driving and operating equipment - servicing equipment
- Make purchases and keep track of stock levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications and Evaluations**:

- Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two (2) years of horticultural technician experience is required. A valid driver's license is required. Experience driving with a trailer is an asset.
- Education Requirements:
EDUCATION : Horticultural Technician Diploma is required.
- Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: Fluent speaking/reading/writing in English is required (May include the ability to translate). This may be tested.
