Summer Day Camp After Care Counsellor

We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as After Care Camp Counselors. As a After Card Camp Counselor, you will have the opportunity to educate and engage with children in a fun and supportive camp environment. The After Care Camp Counsellor will work to supervise Children who are registered for aftercare. They help plan events and lead group events, monitor campers and respond to incidents, such as behavioral problems or accidents, log events and maintain records relating to activities, and discuss camper participation and concerns with parents and other camp staff members.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and ensure the safety of campers at all times
- Leading and supporting campers as they participate in age-appropriate activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive camp environment
- Provide guidance and support to campers in their personal growth and development
- Cleaning, maintaining and ensuring proper use of camp facilities and equipment.
- Reporting and recording details of incidents, such as accidents or rule violations, to parents and camp staff.
- Collaborate with other camp staff to create a memorable camp experience for all participants
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding camper progress and any concerns
- Memorizing all emergency procedures and enforcing camp rules.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with children, such as tutoring or early childhood education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team setting
- Energetic, patient, and enthusiastic attitude
- CPR and First Aid certification (required)
- Ability to pass a background check (required)
