Psychologist

**Job Type**: Part-time or Full-time
Qualifications: Master or Doctoral degree

We are looking for experienced Independent Contractors who can easily establish rapport and trust with clients. Ideally holding a minimum of 1-2 years experience working in a psychologist role, you would be able to demonstrate good relationship building both with clients and referrers, develop the best treatment plan that meets the needs of your clients, and follow up with client care is paramount. Show competency with software systems (training provided) and be passionate in the therapy you offer.

The role will provide an opportunity to support clients on an individual, couples and or potentially a group basis. You will be requested to manage your own caseload and have the opportunity to work with the wider team to ensure the service and care we offer is to an exceptional level.

**We would love to hear from you if you have the following**:

- Registered Psychologist with APNS (Other equivalent qualifications will be considered).
- Hold up-to-date liability insurance
- Training in EMDR Level 1&2 and experience in EMDR an asset ** but not required
- Effective, clear oral and written communication skills.
- Work independently, with ability for a flexible schedule both in-office or telehealth.
- Work closely with billing (mínimal required), and maintain credentialing with commercial insurances.
- Clinical experience in conducting psychological and cognitive assessments.
- Coordinate care with other providers.
- Uphold best practice standards for complete and timely documentation.
- Maintain supervision based on your respective field requirements.
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills,
- Self-directed, Professionalism, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently
- Understand and uphold PIPEDA Federal law regarding patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Computer software proficient (Microsoft, Google Docs, etc.).
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work in a timely manner.
- Couples Counselling training an asset
- Group facilitation, program development (willingness to explore opportunity)
- Contract payment to be discussed
