**What you will be doing**:
Dance instructors are required to teach recreational dance programs to youth ages two to twelve years old.

Dance instructors will explain and demonstrate techniques and methods of regulating movements of body to musical or rhythmic accompaniment in a range of techniques and dance styles.

Gymnastics instructors are required to teach the fundamental movement and safety skills to become confident with gymnastics for youth ages two to twelve years old.

**Experience and Knowledge**:

- Must possess experience in ballet, modern, hip hop, and jazz and may be required to choreograph and direct dance performances.
- Strong, professional leadership qualities that help motivate and encourage participants is required.
- Experience working with preschoolers and youth ages 1-12 in a recreation setting.
- Proven experience planning, implementing and supervising youth in groups.

Please note that Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.

**We are looking for these certificates**:

- High Five - Principles of Healthy Child Development
Standard First Aid with CPR C and AED

**We will ask you for these items if you are hired**:

- Current and valid Police Vulnerable Sector Check to be provided prior to commencement in this position.
Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training certificate from the Ministry of Labour. (may be obtained post offer)
Proof of your current and valid certificate(s) and/or educational qualifications.

**Rate of pay**:
The hourly rate for this position will vary pending qualifications; however, will be within the hourly range of $15.50 to $40.00.

**Hours of work**:
Hours are dependent on the number of participants taking part in our programs; as such, there are no minimum hours associated with this position.
