What does our Category Manager - Waste and Recycling Products look like?
- **Must have** 5 to 10 years of experience in Product, Sales/Marketing, or Business Development within commercial Waste and Recycling products, additionally, knowledge of commercial outdoor furniture, or related products would be an asset. You will be our internal category product expert and will help shape our business development strategy as we go forward
- Post-secondary education in business, marketing, or a related field
- Possessing solid understanding/experience in the North American Waste and Recycling business for the transportation, public spaces, and commercial sectors
- Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends, customer behaviour, and competitive landscapes
- Experience in being an exhibitor within waste and recycling or outdoor commercial furnishing tradeshows
- Excellent written and verbal communication (English)
- Effective and strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to deliver presentations to large project teams and senior-level management
- Strong command of MS Office suite (particularly Word & Excel), CRM Software, ERP software
- A positive, confident, self-motivated attitude, strong business drive, and a keen interest in building long-term customer relationships
- Ability to think analytically, creatively, and independently with excellent problem-solving skills
- Assertiveness, perseverance, energy, and passion - results-oriented behavior required to be successful in a sales role.
- Strong negotiation, relationship building, and influencing skills
- Ability to travel between Canada and the USA for meetings and conferences
What will our Category Manager - Waste and Recycling Products do?
- Formulate and execute a comprehensive category strategy aligned with Arconas’ goals and objectives
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, client needs, and competitive landscape
- Stay informed about industry regulations, certifications, and sustainability standards related to waste and recycling products
- Actively support existing relationships with our Sales team, and help to develop new relationships through the promotion of Arconas’ Waste and Recycling product offerings
- Collaborate with our Marketing team to create captivating campaigns and support materials
- Actively participate in industry tradeshows/conferences, staying up to date with the latest trends and networking opportunities
- Assisting the Sales team with RFPs for large-scale projects and long-term opportunities
- Provide training and product knowledge resources to sales teams to drive successful product launches and campaigns
- Work with internal partners - Sales, Product/Design, Marketing, and R&D, as well as external clients, and specifiers to create significant market share growth
- Professionally represent Arconas at industry events and trade shows, in Canada & USA, or international locations
