The Production Manager will oversee all strategic and operational production processes, create and set the strategy with the senior leadership team, coordinate projects and operations for commercial and non-commercial activities.

This position is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing production activity at the Licensed facility. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to interface with various internal and external stakeholders in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Development.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plans, directs and establishes operating activities for production manufacturing/ procurement operations including production planning, scheduling, resource allocation (equipment and personnel) and materials management:

- Drives implementation of new processes/capabilities in support of strategic growth plans with the assistance of the senior leadership team,
- Maintaining compliance with the laws and regulations related to medical and recreational cannabis,
- Ensuring proper Filling and Finishing Packaging SOPs are created and followed, Coordination of tasks for daily production activities, Support key performance indicators for area including line speeds, efficiency, waste, labor costs, compliance to schedule,
- Understand and maintain machinery, systems and tools required to perform daily activities in assigned work space, and ability to troubleshoot and fix equipment if needed, Develop strategies and initiatives to increase capacities and efficiencies, Training and development of team members,
- Employee reviews and discipline as required,
- Assist team members with daily duties as required,
- Able to follow work instructions, daily schedule and goals to be met and or exceeded within the expected time constraints and quality practices,
- Control inventory within the department,
- Supervision of sanitation program requirements within assigned areas.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Supply Chain, Operations, Project Management or Business discipline,
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing environment,
- Experience in a regulated industry such as pharmaceutical or consumer packaged goods is considered an asset,
- Strong understanding of The Cannabis Act regulations
- Strong knowledge of GMP regulations; experience with EU GMP is considered an asset,
- Strong QA/QC experience,
- Ability to manage and balance multiple priorities and execute against committed scope and schedule,
- Strong oral and written communication skills, have outstanding active listening skills and quality focus,
- Strong customer service orientation,
- Strong analytical skills and business perspective,
- Proven driver of excellence and execution, preferably within a manufacturing environment,
- Relentless in achieving goals and expectations in a rapidly changing environment,
- Ability to establish and manage metrics, ensuring team ownership and focus to achieve
- Lead by example - proven experience in supervising teams

**Salary**: $1.00-$2.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

- Red Deer, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
