**City Experiences is seeking a Porter/Receiver for our City Cruises operation in Gananoque.**

**About the Opportunity**:
The **Porter/Receiver** efficiently receives, documents and stores all deliveries, contributes to general kitchen operations, is hospitable and cordial to coworkers and guests, and acts safely and responsibly. The Porter/Receiver will enable professional and efficient hospitality operations, be favorably viewed by supervisors and peers, and be swift and effective in the execution of assigned duties.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Provide exceptional hospitality to coworkers and guests as prescribed in our RESPECT Service System
- Receiving of all Food & Beverage and Retail items, ensuring that the products received match invoices
- Receives and unloads product from vendors
- Maintains logs and necessary paperwork with respect to receiving product and ensures proper handling of invoices and documents
- Stocks and displays product as needed
- Delivers stock to vessels prior to morning departure and restocks as needed throughout the day.
- Ability to quickly respond to changing work volume with high energy and speed
- Assists in keeping product areas clean and organized
- Performs multiple tasks at one time, while maintaining professional composure
- Advises Manager when food, beverage and/or retail stock is in need of ordering
- Receive and store food and supplies using proper food handling techniques including stock rotation and monitoring temperatures of perishable products
- Assist in cleaning and organizing of hospitality storage areas
- Maintain safety and cleanliness of kitchen and service areas; sweep and scrub floors, clean garbage cans with water, sort and remove trash - placing it in designated pickup areas
- Assist with food deliveries for catering operations
- Provide inventory delivery and support to the Ticket & Retail Department

**Requirements & Qualifications**:

- O.S.S.D. or equivalent as recognized by the Ministry of Education
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
- Previous cleaning experience preferred
- Smart Serve Certificate required
- Food Handler’s Certificate considered an asset
- Energetic and enthusiastic personality essential
- Ability to deal with shifting priorities
- Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to effectively understand and convey written and verbal information to guests and coworkers
- Must possess a service orientation - actively looking for ways to help others
- Will work for extended periods of time without sitting
- Required to lift furniture and other heavy items up and down stairs
- Will be required to be available for work on all major holidays
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, pull, move or lift up to 60 lbs (27 kgs)
- Full G driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
