Canada Paving And Construction (1998) Ltd. is looking for **a roller operator** with experience in commercial, industrial, and residential paving that are responsible for aiding in all areas of asphalt. They participate in general housekeeping and other various tasks throughout the job site. Position includes:

- Operate a roller in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
- Maintain and ensure vehicle and equipment are stocked with needed materials.
- Safely operate roller in successive overlapping passes over surfaces to be compacted, ensuring appropriate speed based on knowledge of compressibility of material under changing temperatures, rolling asphalt to desired compaction and smoothness.
- Ensure the job site is clean and free of excess material.
- Promote a team approach and maintain a dialogue with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas.
- Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others.
- Have a Class G Driver’s License
- Minimum three years experience within the construction industry, 3 years on an asphalt roller
- Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Load, unload and move construction materials around the worksite
- Level asphalt to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel
- Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators, and tampers as directed

We are looking for a qualified individual with three experience, but is willing to teach hard working people the ins and outs of the industry.
