Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated French Teacher to join our team. As a French Teacher, you will be responsible for educating students in the French language and culture. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives and help them develop their language skills. Star Academy has an 11 month school year, with a week off every 7=8 weeks. Resumes will be reviewed as received. The position is full-time, depending up on ability to teach music/art/dance/drama.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- 5 French classes daily, Kindergarten, Grade 1-2, Grade 3-4, Grade 5-6, Grade 7-8
- Teach students of various ages and proficiency levels, Kindergarten to Grade 8
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to facilitate language acquisition
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop instructional materials and resources
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student performance and progress
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Fluency in French language (native or near-native proficiency)
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
- Have experience teaching French using the Ontario Curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Proficiency in using technology for instructional purposes (e.g., LMS platforms)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and school life beyond the classroom including: clubs, activities, duties

Preferred Skills:

- Demonstrated talent for teaching, coaching, mentoring and inspiring students
- Be able to work flexibly and to adapt to a constantly changing environment
- Be able to work independently, as well as part of the teaching team
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills for the purpose of communicating with students, parents and colleagues
- Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills

We offer competitive compensation based on qualifications and experience.

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
