Pluck Tea, a fast-growing, 100% natural and locally based premium tea company in midtown Toronto, is currently seeking a Full-time Tea Packer role to join our team. Joining our team has the potential to grow within our company. This role combines the completion of regular daily tasks, with larger production runs of our retail products.

This position will be 40 hours a week. Please note that the hours will be between 8:30am-7:30pm Monday-Friday. Occasional weekend shifts may be required as needed. Training will be provided.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Pack teas (loose plus tea bag) with high attention to detail
- Accurately track teas using lot # system
- Keep work area clean and organized, as well as maintain cleanliness of entire production area
- Assist with inventory count and control each month
- Complete Daily Cleaning Tasks schedule each day which may include sanitizing tables and chairs, dusting shelves, and waste management/recycling.
- Maintain and organize overstock, while adhering to FIFO rules (first in first out)
- Maintain and organize tea stock, make sure all tea is sealed properly
- Front face and stock shelves when needed, adhering to FIFO rules
- Monitor inventory levels for: bags, labels, tea, cleaning supplies, packing supplies. Report low levels to Operations Manager when needed
- Outputting Labels for the tea packaging
- Operating Sealing and labeling machine (training will be provided)
- Assisting with Tea Bag Machine; helping machine operators with quality checks, cleaning, and spot checks. Opportunity to become fully trained on machine operations.
- Responsible for ensuring food safety and quality compliance along with GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and adherence to the HACCP systems program.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in production and manufacturing. Food production experience is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of GMP and HACCP Programs
- Ideally have experience with production manufacturing lines and equipment.
- Able to lift a minimum of 40lbs and stand for a full day’s shift (8 hours)
- Strong analytical skills and math aptitude.
- Comfortable using PC computers and printers
- Organized, team player, good communicator, problem solving skills
- Must provide a police check
- A minimum of 3 work related references required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
