**Responsibilities**:

- Abide by all plant Safety, Health & Environmental policies and actively participate in safety activities
- Consistently demonstrate safe work behaviors and actively support company safety goals
- Support all initiatives and actively participate in all processes and activities
- Perform all chemical, physical, and microbiological tests for ingredient mixes and finished products
- Analyzing bulk and finished products using a variety of techniques including, pH, Viscosity, Color, Odor, and Appearance
- Releasing products using computer systems including SAP and MS Office
- Record analytical results on required reports and in electronic databases and spreadsheets
- Check various logs for any errors and correct them as needed
- Record key line performance and process performance indicators into appropriate tracking mechanisms
- Participate in operational project teams for quality improvement and/or cost reduction
- Monitor product quality and assist in continuous improvement
- Audit processes and help to identify opportunities for improvements
- Accurately complete required forms/checklists
- Able to lead and drive completion of Root Cause Analysis
- Understands all safe practices and systems relevant to the equipment and the safety responsibilities placed upon individuals
- Utilizes appropriate safety and environmental procedures for people, processes, materials, products, and equipment relevant to the task
- Contributes to reducing costs due to product waste and minimizing the impact on health, safety, and the environment through the correct handling of product
- Follow Unilever quality standards to include GMPs which include personal health and hygiene, HACCP, allergen control, foreign material control, and product integrity
- Adhere to all applicable job procedures as outlined in the SOP manual
- Keep the work area clean and clear of hazards
- Report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or injuries to the supervisor immediately
- Use all prescribed personal protective equipment
- Adhere to food safety practices and ensure they are being followed
- Follow all GMPs including maintaining personal hygiene, hand washing/sanitizing hands, cleaning up spills
- Report any foreign material findings
- As part of food security, report any unusual people or behavior

**Qualifications**:

- Post-Secondary Education in Food Science or a related field required
- 1-2 years of food/bakery experience
- Knowledgeable of and able to train procedures, programs, and systems, including but not limited to:

- Incoming ingredients, Rework, Environmental and sanitation, Hold and Release program, SPC program, Consumer complaints investigation, Cutting, Sensory, Sampling, New product trials, Good manufacturing practices (GMPs), HACCP, etc.
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, & Word)
