Phlebotomist

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process. Your attention to detail and knowledge of medical terminology will be crucial in accurately labeling and documenting specimens for laboratory testing.

**Duties**:

- Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood samples
- Verify patient information and ensure proper identification before drawing blood
- Label and document specimens accurately for laboratory testing
- Follow established protocols and safety guidelines to maintain a sterile and safe environment
- Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns or questions they may have
- Maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and equipment, restocking as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate specimen collection and delivery

**Skills**:

- Proficient in medical terminology related to phlebotomy procedures
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and specimen handling
- Ability to effectively phlebotomize patients of all ages, including infants, children, adults, and the elderly
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate labeling and documentation of specimens
- Excellent communication skills to provide compassionate patient care
- Familiarity with hospital protocols and infection control measures
