The open-pit gold mine is a joint venture between IAMGOLD and Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd. and is operated by IAMGOLD. We are located near Gogama, Ontario, with access to stable infrastructure and strong connections with our local communities.

**Accessing Opportunities at Côté Gold**

**SUPERVISOR, PROJECTS**

Lead and coordinate construction contractors for Côté Gold. Lead the team to deliver safe, responsible and effective earthwork construction including oversight of Tailings Management Facility, Mine Rock Area and other operations supporting the mine.

**Key Responsibilities**

Area 1:
Leading and coordinating Projects resources.
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.
- Coordinate and supervise contractor activities in the field.
- Understand construction plans and scope of work and collaborate closely with other supervisors, engineers, and maintenance personnel in execution of construction activities in a mine operation setting.
- Lead and empower employees in achieving world class activities and improve employee work performance and efficiency through mentorship and feedback.
- Provide clear expectations of the performance levels required to achieve safety, schedule and cost objectives.
- Coordinate contractor resources (people and equipment)
- Promote a high performance culture for contractors by setting expectations, conducting performance reviews, and providing feedback and coaching.
- Administer and comply with system requirements in a manner consistent with policies, procedures and regulations.
- Perform worksite inspections and safe work observations; participate in and lead investigations.

Area 2:
Operational excellence.
- Seek opportunities to improve Earthworks projects department.
- Be proactive and solution driven and implement operational improvements.
- Commit to continuous learning and improvement.
- Continually seek to improve your skills as a Supervisor, Earthworks Construction.
- Identify and resolve inefficiencies or problems through collaboration with the Cote and contractors team
- Work collaboratively to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Consider risk amongst the five dimensions (production, time, quality, sustainability and cost).

Area 3:
Work collaboratively with others to deliver operational reliability.
- Provides leadership and direction to the various stakeholders to ensure that the construction plan objectives are met.
- Foster an inclusive work environment.
- Coordinate with other team members on site to meet shift deliverables.
- Mentor and train new team members.
- Participate in and lend your expertise to the team.
- Communicate clearly and effectively using the tools provided.
- Ensure equipment logs and shift logs are accurate and complete. Review contractor time sheets.
- Ensure any deficiencies are communicated to the appropriate team members for follow up.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on our commitment to our team, our communities, the environment, and our shareholders.

Qualifications

**Minimum Requirements and Nice To Haves**

minimum qualifications, formal education, certifications or equivalents
- Grade 12 or Equivalent
- Ministry Supervisor Training is considered an asset.

Work experience - Nature & Length
- 3 years or more of Earthworks Construction experience.
- Previous exposure to tailing management facilities or other significant mining infrastructure is an asset.
- Previous exposure to Autonomous Mining Systems is an asset but not essential.

Additional qualifications - Competency requirements
- Demonstrated ability to engage and empower multi-disciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operations work methods.
- Proven communication skills, both verbal, written and non-verbal.
- Previous exposure to multi-disciplinary team leadership is desirable, but not essential.
- Computer proficiency.
- Understand efficiency drivers in earthworks construction.
- Self-motivated individual who is driven to find solutions and strive for continuous improvement in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
