**What you can expect from this position**:
Reporting to the Manager, IT Vendor Management, this position is responsible for managing the RFX requirements of the IT VMO team, coordinating and managing IT contract renewals negotiations, and supporting annual budget activities. Critical to this role, is the day-to-day management of all IT purchases as requested by GTAA’s end user community and customers.

**As an IT Sourcing and Contract Lead, you will**:

- Provide input to setting IT infrastructure sourcing strategies and performance objectives
- Develop annual tactical sourcing plans based on the analysis of the GTAA Corporate direction and IT Departmental strategy
- Develop plans for annual contract renewals and terminations
- Provide input to plans for sourcing & contract process improvements
- Support and provide input into annual IT budget planning
- Supervise the development and execution of IT sourcing activities as part of the competitive bid processes
- Collaborate with GTAA Strategic Sourcing and advising management on sourcing alternatives within corporate policy
- Collaborate with GTAA Strategic Sourcing and IT Management to prepare and implement negotiation plans for contract renewals
- Supervise supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract development of IT related contracts
- Assess and validate award recommendations, contract changes, amendments, and collaborating with GTAA Strategic Sourcing for execution of IT related contracts
- Provide IT sourcing and contract management domain expertise, and collaborating with GTAA Strategic Sourcing to develop and implement procurement artifacts (e.g. contract terms and conditions, master service agreement templates, bid evaluation templates)
- Investigate, analyze, develop, and promote alternative partnership agreements with potential IT related suppliers
- Ensure successful contract executions and terminations by planning for transition activities, leading all aspects of transition execution, measuring and reporting on transition progress, assessing and reporting on organizational readiness, and working with Vendor Management team members, implementing risk mitigation strategies
- In collaboration with Vendor Management Advisors, develop best‐in‐class IT sourcing & contract management techniques and practices with a focus on disciplined execution and quality improvements; develop and maintain relationships with key departmental customers and supplier partners; coordinating IT sourcing agreements with respect to changes such as contract terms and conditions, fee schedules, scope of work, expiry and notification timing, and service levels
- Provide input to IT departmental financial and performance reporting; providing advice to IT staff at all levels including Senior Management in the procurement of IT products and services, and advise on contracting matters in general, including financial management as it relates to IT contracts
- Supervise staff and assigning schedules of work; monitoring performance, training and ensuring GTAA IT and Vendor Management standards are met
- Support IT Vendor Management in contract disputes and providing contract interpretations; ensuring contract databases are maintained and current through regular audits; collaborating with the GTAA Contracting and Purchasing unit to develop improvements in methods, processes, and policies

**This is the role for you, if you have**:

- A post-secondary diploma or degree with a specialization in Purchasing or Contract Law
- Industry experience or industry related experience (aviation, transportation, etc.) an asset
- Formal training in IT outsourcing and contract negotiations are required
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT sourcing contracts and suppliers, as well as 3 years of practical experience in competitive bidding and negotiating IT agreements
