Are you a motivated individual with a passion for all things hydraulic and a knack for ensuring customer satisfaction? Our hydraulic shop is seeking a dedicated Inside Sales Representative to join our team. As a full-time employee, you will play a crucial role in our day-to-day operations and contribute to our continued success.
Daily activities include helping customers by asking questions to find the solutions to their needs, processing sales from quotations through to final bill of sale, maintaining inventory, hydraulic hose assembly, cylinder resealing and pump assembly. You will ensure all business policies, standards and procedures are followed.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Sales Support**: Follow up on new and old sales goals to achieve targets.
- **Sales Processing**: Handle the entire sales process. Including estimating, preparing work orders, purchase orders and invoicing.
- **Inventory Management**: Keep track of inventory, order necessary supplies, and receive shipments.
- **Shop Maintenance**: Maintain a clean and organized shop environment to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
- **Cylinder Resealing**: Expertly reseal hydraulic cylinders to ensure optimal performance.
- **Pump Assembly**: Assemble hydraulic pumps according to specifications.
- **Hose Assembly**: Create and crimp hydraulic hoses as required.
- **Travel**: Pick up and deliver parts between our shop locations and customers.
- **Computer Skills**: Use a computer for inventory management and other shop-related tasks.
**Qualifications**
- Ability to work closely with and develop relationships with customers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Experience in hydraulic systems and components is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges.
- Valid Ontario ‘G’ driver’s license free of serious offenses under the Highway Traffic Act.
**Physical requirements**
- Work a minimum of 42.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm)
- Use standard office equipment and other specified technical equipment.
- Regular use of keyboard and phone.
- Noise volume in office is typically low; tends to be higher in the shop area noise protection must be worn.
- Proper safety attire must be work in shop area (safety boots and glasses)
- Standing and sitting for extended periods of time.
- Capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs.
Note: As the company grows and market conditions change, our customers’ needs will change as well. Management may alter tasks assigned to this role accordingly.
**Direct reports**
Will report directly to the Branch Manager
**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 42.5 per week
