We are currently looking for a mortgage underwriter wishing to work in a growing company in which there is a high level of belonging in an innovative, caring, ethical and rigorous culture.
In this position, you will have a hybrid role, mortgage underwriter as well as administrative support to the team and therefore, analyze and manage private loan files while also being in charge of certain administrative tasks.
Your roles and responsibilities:
- Write and prepare documents and file structure
- Receive and send all correspondence related to potential and existing loans
- Manage: loans, documents related to loans, payments and expenses related to loans, monitoring of important dates, including account statements.
- Manage and enter data on computer support and copy
- Schedule and organize meetings with stakeholders
- Exchange and interaction with partners: such as the notary, the appraiser, co-lenders etc.
- Order the evaluations and prepare the documents to provide the co-lenders with.
To join our team: experience needed
- Significant experience in office management
- Work experience in the following fields will be an asset: real estate, mortgages, loans or an accounting firm
- Knowledge or experience in using SoQuij, JLR will be considered an asset
- Bachelor of Commerce or relevant experience
Competency requirements:
- Good knowledge of the mortgage industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Communication skills in French and English (written, read, spoken)
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize effectively and meet strict deadlines
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and implement improvements
- Ability to analyze documents with great attention to detail and precision
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and be able to work independently
