**JOB OVERVIEW**

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team to ensure the quality and safety of our custom machinery and material conveyance equipment for the food processing industry. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and production processes.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies to mitigate product and process risks.
- Lead the investigation and resolution of quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and sales, to ensure product quality and production processes meet customer needs and specifications.
- Provide training and guidance to company personnel to lead the implementation and execution of quality initiatives, such as creation of quality procedures, standards development and inspection criteria.
- Develop and maintain quality metrics to monitor and continuously improve product quality and production processes.
- Conduct product and process audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in new product development projects, providing quality engineering support and ensuring new products meet quality and safety standards.
- Develop, lead, and support supplier quality and performance programs to ensure incoming materials meet or exceed the required specifications
- Lead and/or support the implementation and expansion of quality systems in all Tri-Mach facilities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of our products and processes.
- In accordance with company policy/ESA; overtime, work outside of regular hours, and being on call may be required at the discretion of the company.
- All other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in quality engineering in the food industry or related field.
- Knowledge of food industry regulations and quality standards, such as HACCP and GMP, is preferred.
- Experience with quality tools and techniques, such as statistical process control, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with quality management systems, such as ISO 9001, is preferred.
