**Who are you?**

**What will you do?**
- Create and optimize realistic and stylized 3D models based on concept art or real-life references.
- Create rigging structures using bones, deformers, and controls to prepare models for animation, ensuring that characters and objects move in a realistic and controlled manner.
- Implement lighting setups that complement and enhance the visual aesthetics.
- Design detailed textures and UV maps to bring surfaces of 3D models to life.
- Adjust render settings for optimal quality and efficiency using various rendering engines.
- Write and integrate scripts to automate and optimize animation processes and workflows.
- Resolve technical issues related to 3D models, textures, rigs, shaders, and tools.
- Review and enhance 3D content to meet quality and technical standards.
- Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in 3D design and animation.
- Create detailed documentation for designs, procedures, and workflows.

**What skills will you bring?**
- Post-secondary degree in 3D Modeling, Animation, Computer Graphics, or related fields.
- 3+ years experience in 3D modeling, specifically with creating and rigging characters, vehicles, machinery, props, and environments.
- Strong portfolio or demo reel showcasing a range of 3D models and visual styles, character rigging, lighting, texturing, and rendering.
- Excellent skills and techniques in rigging, modeling, texturing, shading, lighting, and rendering, with an emphasis on hard surface modeling and clean topology.
- Strong understanding of human anatomy, form, and movement for character creation.
- Strong aesthetic sensibilities and artistic vision, with the ability to visualize complex concepts and designs.
- Mastery of industry-standard 3D software including Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Character Creator, and Advanced Skeleton.
- Experience with 3D game engines such as Unreal Engine and Unity, and associated workflows.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) a must.
- Solid understanding of the complete 3D production pipeline and management of production environments.
- Keen eye for detail, especially in texture, color, and lighting, with the ability to refine and optimize visual elements to enhance realism or stylization.
- Knowledge in task automation and scripting languages like Python, or MEL, a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to clearly convey ideas and feedback.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and fix technical issues.
- Ability to identify and solve problems creatively, with a focus on finding innovative solutions.
- Ability to work well under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and address challenges and changes in real-time.
- Currently legally eligible to work in Canada.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
