Custodian/janitor

**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Perform routine cleaning of assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces.
- Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Report any repairs or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Assist with setting up and taking down furniture for events or meetings as needed.
- Follow established procedures for cleaning hazardous materials or spills.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment when necessary.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor tasks throughout the shift.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety protocols is a plus.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Additional pay:
