Approximately 40% of the world’s mobile traffic is carried through an Ericsson network. The fifth generation (5G) of Radio Access Networks (RAN) is happening now and Ericsson is the recognized technology leader in bringing it to the market.

**Our exciting opportunitiy**:
The Cloud RAN Product-Near System Integration organization within Business Unit Networks seeks to work closely with our customers, passionate about the delivery of Cloud-native RAN products.

**What you will do**:

- Build/integrate E2E solutions in the wireless ecosystem for 5G and RAN.
- Translate customer needs into product requirements.
- Work with an international cross-site team.
- Collaborate with various HCP/cloud vendors, Cloud RAN product teams, and adjoining systems
- Diagnose problem situations and challenge/propose solutions to complex issues
- Sharpen your development skills with the latest technologies, with access to vast resources, and without limitations
- Innovate by building a proof of concepts / end2end solution blueprints around 5G/RAN.
- Work with experts in the area of 5G and RAN

**You will bring**:

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related area
- 5+ years of experience

**Area 1** **- Cloud computing and Distributed/Cloud scale solution architecture skills** **(with a zeal to learn RAN)**
- In-depth understanding of the technology and solutions concepts related to a modern ecosystem in the area of cloud computing (cloud architecture, microservices, automation) and related practices (DevOps, CI/CD).
- Hands-on Knowledge of at least one commercial-grade K8S infrastructure (any of the top three HCP CAAS environments, Red hat OpenShift, Tanzu,and similar stacks)
- Good understanding of Telecom networks
- Knowledge and experience in RAN
- Competence in troubleshooting/integration RAN/Radio and Core networks

**Additional skills (common to both areas above)**
- Computer Science and/or Telco professional, who is an excellent teammate
- Exposure to Big data
- Familiar with automation skills using tools like Ansible/Terraform and scripting languages like Python
- Solution architecture and integration experience
- Basic networking related understanding (DNS, IPV4/V6, NAT)
- The problem-solving mentality to solve sophisticated solution architecture problems

This position reports to Head of Del - Cloud RAN Prod-Near system.
