**ACCOUNTABILITIES OF JOB FUNCTION**:
Participate, in whole or in part, in the building of company manufactured tooling and components to within tolerances and specifications directed by technical drawings, documents, supervision, personal skill and experience. To assist in activities within the mould department and the production of company manufactured components as instructed by the Team Leader.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS**:

- Minimum two (2) to three (3) years of relevant experience in manufacturing
- Able to operate band-saws, mills, lathes, surface grinders, drill presses, boring mill, and other machineries associated with the trade in a safe and efficient manner
- Must be able to handle and operate all hand, pneumatic and other tools associated with the trade in a safe and efficient manner
- Assembly knowledge of blow and injection moulding, deflashing units, fixture equipment etc., is an asset
- Detailed knowledge of choosing proper parameters of machines and materials
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings
- Proactive in making recommendations for improvements to the processes, procedures and construction of blow mould tooling and related components
- Is in possession of the basic tools needed to complete the assigned job (i.e. measuring tools, hand tools, optional power/pneumatic tools) or is willing to acquire the necessary tools within a reasonable time period

**RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES**:
**1.** **PRODUCTION**

Depending on the skills and abilities of the individual, the following summary of responsibilities has been assigned for each employee when completing a basic cut tool.

A) Tooling documents are received from Supervisor, discussed and left with the assembler for further review. Search for errors.

B) Raw materials are retrieved and modified (as necessary) to complete the tool (e.g. plates, screws, blow needles). If necessary, request materials.

C) Complete assigned task through machining and/or assembly to specifications or instructions

D) Spotting two halves of mould and revise/bench where necessary

E) Drill vents per guidelines and/or instructions

F) Drill, machine, bench and assemble mould or deflash assembly (e.g. blending, vents, striker plates, pre-blow plates, parallels, mismatch, back plates, sand blasting, water testing, inserts, knockouts, etc.)

G) Review completed tooling

**Salary**: $15.50-$38.93 per hour
