If you are looking for a carpentry position to build your skills and knowledge in furniture design, wood working, and manufacturing, we invite you to join our team to help us bring our client’s visions to life. We are looking for a Junior Carpenter who already possess the basic wood machinery skills and a passion for well-crafted case goods design and product. Experience in general wood working, machinery use, shop drawing interpretation, or solid wood manufacturing would be considered significant assets. The Junior Carpenter will be responsible for:

- Read and interpret shop drawings and specifications when required.
- Assist our lead carpenters with machining and preparing wood components by performing duties such as measuring, cutting, shaping, etc.
- Locate material, and transport material as required to the specified location.
- Work with our design engineer to ensure parts are machined and prepared for joinery and finished carpentry work.
- Manually transport any materials, products, parts (i.e. metal, stone, etc.) as required.
- Make use of handheld and small wood tools, such as drills, saws, etc. to perform the task required.
- Must abide by company policies and safety procedures.

Experience level: 0 - 2 years required (prior experience in furniture preferred)

Skills: Basic Design Software knowl, MS Office, Adobe CS and AutoCAD are assets.

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.50 per hour

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- carpentry: 2 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (preferred)
