We are looking for an experienced Part-Time Accounting Technician to work in our Surrey office 25 - 30 hours per week on a consistent basis who will work closely with our accounting department to help maintain our financial records including payroll, general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform payroll functions in an accurate and timely manner
- Development and/or implementation of payroll policies, procedures, processes, and software
- Conduct reconciliation of all accounts as needed
- Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner
- Perform all activities related to accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing vendor and subcontractor payments
- Assist with accounts receivable functions including invoicing, collections, credit checks, and revenue recognition
- Produce bi-weekly and year-end journal entries
- Calculate and file remittances for Source, EHT, WCB, Benefits, GST, Corporate Tax Instalments
- Prepare financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data
- Assisted with various accounting and office tasks

**Education & Training**
- 10 years relevant experience in full-cycle payroll and accounting
- Accounting, Business Administration, Payroll Certification considered an asset
- Experience with Humi or other payroll software is preferred
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel and other MS Office products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. (Fluency in English is required)
