**Job Overview**
**Inspire the Next Generation of Conservationists and Environmental Leaders**
This role is a full-time position and allows for an in-office and work from home hybrid model, depending on business needs. The office is conveniently located close to Hwy 1 and the Golden Ears Bridge. Bus stops are also nearby. Standard hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Evenings, weekends, and/or extended hours will be required to accommodate activities and events. This position will require travel throughout the province.

**Core Responsibilities**
**Program Development**
- Assist the Youth Program Coordinator and Manager in the administrative portion of facilitating NASP programs and in-person and virtual school programs.
- Link programs to B.C. school curriculum.
- Research and support outreach events targeted at youth and families.
- Review current conservation and outdoor education programs to make recommendations to improve reach and quality.
**Marketing and Communication**
- Compose monthly Youth Program and NASP newsletters for instructors and schools.
- Develop information packages for parents, grantors, sponsors, and other stakeholders.
- Meet with teachers, parents, sponsors, and other stakeholders.
- Update content on Youth Program webpages.
**Administration**
- Research and connect with guest speakers and contacts for programs.
- Organize travel logistics for staff, campers, and guests.
- Manage online registration for camps, NASP, and other programs.
- Track program revenue and expenses.
- Clean and maintain program equipment.
- Analyze measured outcomes from surveys and record results.
- Track Youth Program yearly engagement from camps, events, school programs, etc.
- Other duties related to the Youth Program or other BCWF programs as required which includes, but is not limited to procurement of materials, design of outreach materials or learning modules, data collection, management, and analysis, and/or field work (e.g., invasive species removal, native species planting, collecting biological monitoring data, etc.)
**Program Delivery**
- Wild Kidz and Go Wild_
- Attend and assist in facilitating Wild Kidz and Go Wild camps (July and August).
- Purchase camp supplies.
- Assist in leading educational programs.
- Complete necessary camp administrative work.
- Correspond with parents.
- National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP)_
- Receive Basic Archery Instructor (BAI) certification.
- Schedule Basic Archery Instructor (BAI) courses.
- Attend and support Provincial Tournament (April / May).
- Manage instructor database.
- Support NASP B.C. Manager with NASP related activities.
- Attend and facilitate Community Archery events.
- Attend and facilitate NASP school programs.
- Classroom Education Programming_
- Deliver educational programs in schools either in-person or virtually.
- Maintain program equipment and restock program supplies.
- Send program feedback survey following classroom sessions.
- Young Conservationist Scholarship Program (YCSP)_
- Assist Youth Program Coordinator in scheduling, coordinating, and facilitating bi-monthly check-ins with participants.
- Assist in planning educational and professional development workshops for participants.
- Serve as an on-call mentor for participants.
- Assist in the coordination and facilitation of the annual YCSP conference for incoming and outgoing participants.
- Coordinate and fundraise for scholarship gift.
- Outreach Events_
- Represent BCWF Youth Programs at tradeshows and conferences.
- Attend and assist in facilitating Family Volunteer Series events.
- Assist in developing marketing campaign for Family Volunteer Series.
- Facilitate coordination with event partners.
- Acquire necessary equipment and supplies for outreach events.
- Conservation Projects_
- Research conservation projects to lead with kids and youth.
- Plan and coordinate beginner conservation projects for Wild Kidz and Go Wild camps.
- Plan and coordinate advanced conservation project(s) for Go Wild.
