Looking for a Class 1 Truck Driver

Here at Athabaca Scrap Metal we are now looking to employ a Class 1 Truck driver.

The job will entail hauling scrap metal from various locations back to our scrap processing facility in Boyle, Hauling scrap metal directly to customers,and hauling machinery to job sites. This position will not suit somebody who is inactive and will look to limit themselves to just the driving seat. The position will require proactiveness, punctuality, and a mindset of attention to both their delegated tasks and equipment. We will require drivers to assist with proper loading and unloading of both scrap metal as well as securment of loads. Additionally, the ability operate equipment such as, excavator, skidsteer, and loader machines, is a major benefit and will be take into consideration in the hiring process.Drivers must be able to operate trucks with manual transmissions. Daily inspection of equipment as well as proper completion of log books and relevant documentation will be required.

Work will be five days a week with full day shifts and we will often require drivers to report to work on weekends. The initial checkpoint of all work will be at our yard in

Boyle, and as such we will be providing living accommodations to make this a possibility. All work is local and the driver will be able to return home everynight.

Wage will start at $37.50/hr and will be paid on a weekly basis.

We will consider both employees and self employed drivers for this position.

**Salary**: From $38.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Westlock, AB: reliably commute or be willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (preferred)
