**Quality Control Technician**

**Reporting to: Asphalt Lab Supervisor**

**Location**: 1156 Jinkinson Road (Stittsville, Ontario)

The **Quality Control Technician** will be travelling to various construction sites to ensure product quality is maintained or improved. This would be an 8-month contract position, starting May 1st to December. Schedule would be from Monday to Friday, hours do vary and can be about 10+ hour workdays. Hourly Wage is $24/hr.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Inspect the quality of construction materials (aggregates, asphalt, and soils) in the field
- Execute tests in the field or laboratory on construction materials to assess their quality
- Prepare and collect aggregates and asphalt samples for laboratory testing
- Examine samples and develop technical reports and analysis of asphalt quality
- Other duties as required

**Requirements**:

- Prior experience in Asphalt or Quality Control is an asset
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Open availability to work extra hours when needed and weekend work is required
- Valid license with on reliable transportation to get to and from site, on site vehicle available to drive to construction sites
