Toddler Room Leader

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement weekly child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of toddlers aged 19 months to 3 years.
- Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest
- Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
- Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or Program Supervisor
- Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of the toddlers
- Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and Program Supervisor

**Salary**: $17.64-$20.64 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- LEDUC, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- DAYCARE setting (do NOT include classroom or babysitting): 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Alberta ECE Certificate (required)
- First Aid Certification (required)

Work Location: One location
