**Job description**

Lanark Transportation Association is looking for a Transportation Coordinator to join our team. This position will be responsible for coordinating the drivers and vans to requests for service to medical appointments. This position will also be responsible for providing administrative support to the drivers and vans, including scheduling, invoicing, and maintenance. Must be capable of multi-tasking in a busy, and, at times stressful environment.

**Responsibilities**:
**1.** **Ensure the effective and efficient operation of the LTA office.**
- Provide a high level of customer service.
- Establish a positive, professional relationship with other staff, drivers, volunteers, clients, and agencies.
- Prioritize incoming workload in an effective manner.

**2.** **Ensure the effective and efficient delivery of service.**
- Ensure client eligibility for service including correct billing information.
- Complete client subsidy forms and determine appropriate cost of transportation, consulting with Executive Director if necessary.
- Accurately complete all transportation requests.
- Complete efficient and equitable daily assignment of transportation requests including last minute requests.
- Ensure drivers are aware in advance of their daily schedule.
- Know the location of all drivers and clients and effectively deal with potential and real issues as they arise.
- Act as a communication liaison via phones to and from drivers on the road.
- Cultivate strong relationships with drivers and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last minute schedule changes.
- Record full details relating to complaints of service.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

**3.** **Ensure the effective and efficient completion of all assigned financial**
**responsibilities.**
- Ensure all completed transportation requests reflect accurate invoice amount including any additional costs.
- Complete in a timely and accurate manner all invoicing functions.
- Prepare drivers’ pay reports including calculation of statutory pay.
- Prepare weekly deposit.

**Knowledge and Experience Requirements**
- 1-2 years of experience in transportation or office administration preferred.
- Experience working with members of the public.
- Knowledge of confidentiality, conflicts of interest and boundary issues.
- Knowledge of Lanark County, community resources, and organizations.
- Experience with Simply Accounting.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
