Estimator Coordinator

Job Overview:
**Overview**: As an Estimating Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in our construction team by supporting the estimation process from inception to completion. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills and a strong understanding of construction processes. You will work closely with project managers, estimators, vendors, and clients to ensure accurate and timely project estimates.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Estimation Support**:

- Collaborate with estimators to gather necessary project information, including blueprints, specifications, and other relevant documents.
- Assist in the preparation of accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Conduct research to gather data on material costs, labor productivity, and market trends to enhance the accuracy of estimates.
- Maintain a database of historical cost data and pricing for reference in future estimates.
- **Bid Coordination**:

- Coordinate bid activities, including bid document distribution, tracking bid responses, and organizing pre-bid meetings.
- Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure timely submission of bids.
- Prepare bid packages, ensuring all required documents and information are included for submission.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Organize and maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and correspondence related to estimates.
- Generate and distribute reports on estimated costs versus actual costs for completed projects.
- Assist in the development of budget forecasts and cost tracking reports throughout the project lifecycle.
- **Vendor and Client Relations**:

- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and establish relationships for future projects.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding estimate inquiries, providing clear and timely responses to questions.
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Review and verify accuracy of estimates to ensure they align with project requirements and company standards.
- Assist in identifying potential risks and opportunities during the estimation process, offering suggestions for improvement.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably in a coordination or support role.
- Strong proficiency in construction estimation software (such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
- Knowledge of construction industry practices, materials, and building codes.

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
