The **_Velocity Program_** is not your average internship or co-op This is a customized experience that focuses on providing you with the development and tools you need to grow your career. After successfully completing a co-op or internship with top performance, we will work with you to establish your future placements. As a result, you will get to learn, grow, and experiment within different areas of both Scotiabank and Tangerine

**Is this role right for you? In this role, you will**:

- Assist in the implementation and administration of security infrastructures and appliances
- Support the information and data security needs of internal and external networks/systems, providing support for security in production systems as necessary.
- Prepare and maintain documentation of all LAN, WAN and Internet connections and configurations
- Review operation logs and event console activity to identify potential security-related events, determine cause of such events, and recommend respective counter measures.
- Communicate network security exposures, misuse, or noncompliance situations to management.
- Review Helpdesk management system tasks and take necessary action to remediate concerns

- You are currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
- You love to learn and envision yourself working for an international organization that heavily invests in your future.
- You enjoy being involved in extracurricular activities such as conferences, clubs, and competitions and/or hackathons_._
- You have knowledge/experience in:

- Firewall skills
- IP addressing
- Basic networking and cyber security skills
