**Job Summary**
**Duties**:
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose any medical conditions.
- Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments as needed.
- Perform surgical procedures and assist in emergency care situations.
- Interpret laboratory results and utilize diagnostic imaging to inform treatment decisions.
- Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients treated.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
- Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.
**Qualifications**:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
- Valid veterinary license in the state of practice.
- Experience in a clinical setting is preferred; new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong skills in laboratory diagnostics and the ability to interpret results effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on client education.
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
