**Responsibilities**
- **Develop and Implement Safety Programs**: Create, revise, and enforce safety programs, policies, and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. Ensure that these programs are in compliance with WorkSafeBC, COR, and Client requirements. Guide the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
- **Risk Assessment and Mitigation**: Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and job site inspections to identify potential hazards and develop strategies for their mitigation. Ensure that employees are aware of and follow safety guidelines.
- **Training and Education**: Provide safety training, orientations, and educational programs for all employees as they are capable and recommend training for additional competencies.
- **Accident Investigation**: Investigate and analyze workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence. ensure the investigations meet WSBC and client requirements.
- **Emergency Preparedness**: Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including first-aid procedures, fire safety, and evacuation plans.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:Stay current with all relevant safety regulations and standards and ensure the company's compliance with them.
- **Safety Reporting**:Compile and analyze safety data, and regularly report safety performance to management, recommending improvements as needed.
- **Safety Culture Promotion**: Foster a strong safety culture within the company by promoting awareness and commitment to safety at all levels.
- **Contractor and Subcontractor Oversight**:Ensure that subcontractors and other third parties working with the company adhere to safety standards and protocols.

**Experience/Qualifications**
- NCSO Designation is required.
- Post Secondary Certificate or Diploma is an asset.
- Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or is preferred.
- Proven experience in health and safety management within the construction or roofing industry.
- Trade Experience is an asset
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency with safety management software and Microsoft Office tools.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $90,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
