Shop Helper

Richmond, Canada Monarch Delta Steel Ltd. Full time

**Shop Helper / Assembler**

**Responsibilities**:

- Assemble custom and standardized products primarily in the street furniture industry (ie. benches, bus shelters, bike shelters)
- Follow work order directions and other instructional documents to assemble finished goods
- Prepare and package finished products for installation and/or shipping
- Assist the fabrication team as needed (drilling holes, sanding/prepping materials, precision cutting)
- Work safely with all standard shop equipment and machinery
- Work collaboratively within Monarch’s workforce

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Experience with basic hand tools (drill, impact, wrench, measuring tape, grinder, saws, etc)
- Experience with forklifts and overhead crane to move material

**Additional Skills and Qualifications as an Asset**:

- Experience building custom crating
- Certified Forklift Operator

**Expected Own Tools/Equipment**
- PPE: Steel-toed safety boots

**Job Types**:
Full-time, Permanent

**Wage**:

- $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

**Schedule**:

- 8 hour shift (6:30am - 3:00pm)
