Vancouver, Canada Aspect Biosystems Full time

**Responsibilities**:

- Research and develop state-of-the-art computer vision, LLM, and deep learning technologies.
- Work on high-impact real-world problems and datasets, including image and video analysis, biomedical imaging, multimodal data processing, data mining, structure prediction, foundation models, supervised, self-supervised, and unsupervised learning, active learning, and model uncertainty.
- Contribute to end-to-end ML software development from problem formulation and data curation to model design, optimization, evaluation, and deployment.
- Provide feedback on Aspect’s products and contribute to technical product development discussions.
- Maintain rigorous documentation records following Aspect’s standards.

**Qualifications**:

- ** Education**: PhD student enrolled in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or related fields with strong math and programming skills.
- **Development Experience**:Hands-on experience in rapid prototyping with machine learning and deep learning libraries. Familiarity with cloud computing, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc.
- **Software Experience**: Experience in planning and executing reliableand test-driven code. Understanding Git and familiarity with code, data, and ML model version-control practices.
- ** Technical Skills Set**:Machine learning, data analysis, and scientific computing packages, e.g., PyTorch, Tensorflow, SciPy, Scikit-learn, Pandas, SQL. Familiarity with scientific image analysis tools such as ImageJ, ImageScope, and QuPath are extra.
- ** Research Experience**: Papers at relevant conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, MICCAI, etc. are extra.
