**Our Team**:
Our Sudbury Operations have been in existence for more than 100 years. With five mines, a mill, a smelter, a refinery and nearly 4,000 employees it is also one of the largest integrated mining complexes in the world. The Port Colborne Refinery was also commissioned 100 years ago on the shore of Lake Erie. Raw materials and finished products from Vale's Sudbury and Newfoundland and Labrador operations are transported to Port Colborne for processing.

**The Opportunity**:
We are currently seeking a Procurement Supervisor to join our Procurement Team in Sudbury for projects with total CAPEX of $1Billion + over five to ten years. This is a **permanent** position.

The Procurement Supervisor will execute Vale's procurement for the capital projects team, through the complete understanding of the sourcing process, aligned with the standards and controls of the Vale Procurement team, ensures the accomplishment of the area financial goals and company growth objectives in the region.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Execute Procurement Sourcing in North America for group of categories.
- Work closely with the Vale's Global, Regional and Local Procurement team(s)
- Responsible for managing the successful execution of the procurement sourcing plan for commodities and services outlined in area of accountability.
- Manage key suppliers in the region and develop the business relationship for specific commodities.
- Facilitate the interfacing of Procurement Analysts with local users, consolidating and understanding their needs and demands.
- Support the Global/Regional/Local Procurement Manager in providing precise demand specifications and negotiating the regional/local clauses of Global purchasing as required to support team.
- Supervise the purchase of Global, Regional and Local categories as assigned to team.
- Supervise or track Procurement bid processes.
- Lead multifunctional teams to ensure users demands are met in terms of quality, budgeting and timing.
- Lead multifunctional teams in order to improve strategic demands specifications, test new products and solutions and monitoring products performance.
- Define and validate procurement strategy recommended by procurement analysts.
- Represent Vale at external meetings with national associations, federations, industry organization, public and private entities.

**About You**
- Undergraduate degree is required.
- Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP) - an asset

**Experience**
- Experience in Capital project is highly required.

**Skills**
- Proven analytical skills.
- Strong writing and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to interact at all levels of the organization including with senior management.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience with Power BI and Power Query
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of financial systems such as SAP
- Knowledge & experience of Quality Management systems like ISO-9001
