**The Role: Branch Concierge**

**As a Branch Concierge** you will you will demonstrate excellence in customer service through solid communication and interpersonal skills to build rapports with members whilst adhering to our retail service experience. Existing and potential members and communities will have an engaging experience and a favorable first and last impression enabling Vancity to redefine wealth consistent with branch objectives.

This is a **Full time (reduced work week -28 hours), 12 months' work assignment **role located at **Shaughnessy Station** **Community Branch (Br 33**) and reports directly to the Assistant Branch Manager.

**A typical day would involve**:

- Managing the demand pipeline of the Community Showcase and Community Stage to proactively promote and demonstrate our Differentiated Member Experience (DME) to the community.
- Identifying service needs and orchestrates the connection of members to appropriate Vancity staff and communities so that members' needs are met.
- Leading the planning of in-branch events, the branch participation in community events, and keeps staff and members informed so that our values and commitments to the community are top of mind.
- Proactively engages members and stakeholders in what Vancity is all about and sets the tone for a positive first and last impression in branch and digitally in order to create an exceptional member experience.
- Managing member traffic areas (e.g. lobby, lineups) to optimize seamless hand-offs for service.
- Leading tours of branch and/or branch physical elements to articulate how Vancity's vision and values come to life in the branch and the surrounding community.

**You Have**:

- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, (e.g. public speaking).
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills to greet visitors, answer calls, provide initial response to issues or redirect to others; and to discuss matters with various areas of the organization.
- Solid planning and coordination skills to assist in the program/project planning activities, coordinate schedules and timelines, and coordinate events.
- Solid knowledge of Vancity's vision, Three Year Plan and business model.
- Solid knowledge of the local community.

**Bonus Points**:

- The competencies for this position would typically be acquired through High School plus some post-secondary coursework.

**Hourly Range: 27.23 to 35.16**
