**Position summary**:
Reporting to the production manager, the incumbent of the production supervisor position will be responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating the activities of 10 to 30 production employees with regard to the manufacturing of light fixtures.**Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)**:

- Actively supervise assign work with instructions, communicate objectives, follow up on assignments, quantify variances to the plan, communicate an efficiency result, implement changes in methods, follow up on quality and OSH
- Ensure a presence with his team, manage problems, communicate informally
- Do training and coaching
- Coordinate the reception, integration, training and evaluation of employees of his work team in the case of new employees
- Follow the different performance indicators
- Prepare and then attend daily meetings (including floor rounds 4 times a day) and weekly meetings (production review, planning review) by ensuring follow-up of the elements under his responsibility
- Promote the philosophy of health and safety prevention in the workplace
- Be responsible for maintaining the machining work environment clean and structured at all times
- Ensure a good management of material resources (tools and equipment, etc.)
- Follow up on compliance with corporate policies (discipline, health & safety, etc.) and correct problematic situations.
- Encourage employee participation in process reviews to improve timeliness and productivity.
- Participate in the annual inventory.

**Experience (minimum experience required)**:

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Administration or Operations Management
- 2 to 5 years in management
- Good knowledge of machining and welding techniques (asset)
- Office suite (MS Query an asset)

Knowledge and skills:

- Good leader, team player and rigorous
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Be oriented towards action, solutions and results
- Works well under pressure
- Knowledge of lighting industry (an asset)
