Join our dedicated team as a Welding Inspector (Senior Weld Quality Technician) at ATCO Gas and Pipelines, where you'll play an essential role in maintaining quality and safety. This role collaborates with the Supervisor in the planning and organizing of resources within the Welding Quality Control group, while providing leadership and mentorship to the team.

**What You Get to Do**:
**Quality Control and Inspection**: Perform comprehensive inspections of welding connections and bonds. Validate material integrity, identify non-conformance, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and specifications.

**Leadership and Coordination**: Assist in planning, organizing, and directing the Welding QC Team. Provide mentorship, support competency assessment, and facilitate training activities.

**Material and Welder Tracking**: Manage the tracking process for auditing and integrity purposes, including upkeep of logbooks, database tracking, and inspection testing plans.

**Communication and Collaboration**: Work closely with the welding Foreman to address quality assurance issues and collaborate on corrections. Provide classroom and on-the-job training as needed.

**Documentation and Compliance**: Ensure complete and organized documentation for each project, adhering to governing standards, internal audits, and company requirements.

**Qualifications**:
**Essential Credentials**: Grade 12 or G.E.D., Alberta Journeyman Welder Certificate, and a minimum Certified Welding Inspector Level 1 (CSA W178.2) from the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB), including a valid CSA Z662 endorsement.

**Experience**: Minimum 5 years of Inspection experience, prior pipeline fabrication and leadership experience being an asset.

**Skills**: Ability to interpret plans and specifications, strong record-keeping, documentation, and organizational skills, effective interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to work with mínimal supervision.
