Embrun Medical Imaging/Imagerie Médicale Embrun is a diagnostic medical imaging clinic located in Embrun, Ontario which performs X-Ray, Ultrasound and Bone Mineral Density (BMD) exams.

**Job description**

**Need someone to cover Sunday shifts from 8-4.**

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ABILITIES**:(representative but not all inclusive)
- Schedule patients for diagnostic imaging exams.
- Relay information to patients regarding preparation and procedures for diagnostic imaging exams.
- Pleasantly greet, and check-in patients when they arrive for their exam, helping to put them at ease.
- Check requisitions to ensure accuracy.
- Courteously answer the telephone and forward calls to appropriate persons and/or take messages as needed.
- Properly record and take any patient payments according to policies and procedures.
- Maintain the highest level of patient confidentiality and privacy by adhering to PHIPA standards.
- Willingness to cross train to provide assistance for other clinic requirements.
- Reschedule and confirm appointments when needed.
- Process payments for patients not covered under OHIP.
- Escort and prep patients for exams.
- Attend team meetings as required.
- Verify and input patient registration into computer in a timely fashion.
- Will maintain work area and equipment in a neat and orderly manner by cleaning equipment and storing all necessary equipment/supplies in an appropriate location
- Will ensure work area is properly stocked with necessary supplies
- Will assist in maintenance cleaning of all clinic areas during your shift.
- Remain compliant with continuing education requirements of CMRITO
- Assist in the training of new receptionists or students as required.
- Be a pleasant and excellent communicator with patients, other staff, referring and reporting physicians
- Other duties as assigned.

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Medical Assistant Diploma or Medical Terminology Certificate with a minimum of 1 year experience in a related field an asset. Equivalencies will be considered.
- CPR and First Aid certificate.
- Minimum two COVID vaccinations.
- Proficient computer skills.
- The ability to speak English and French.
- Schedule flexibility (with the ability to work evenings and weekends)
- Proven ability to attend work on a regular basis
- Great organizational skills, with the ability to efficiently and independently problem solve.
- Demonstrated ability with above average written skills, including good grammar, composition and spelling
- Evidence of strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is essential
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, courteously and tactfully with all types of people
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: From $16.00 per hour
