Weekend Custodian

**Job Summary**

Sasamat Outdoor Centre is seeking a part-time weekend custodian. The weekend custodian is in charge of providing excellent customer service to guests, and janitorial services to the buildings and grounds. This is a part-time position that runs on Saturdays and Sundays only, approximately 4-6 hours each day, starting in late April 2023 and lasting to the end of October.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

- Vacuuming carpets, sweeping and mopping floors.
- Clean and sanitize washrooms
- Restock supplies in washrooms and common area
- Empty all trash cans, clean receptacles as necessary
- Cleaning windowsills, windows and base board heaters
- Maintain janitor closets in a safe, clean and operable condition
- Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals
- Wearing proper person protective equipment at all times
- General maintenance of grounds, water plants, cut grass, power wash
- Other routine maintenance duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to work effectively with a team or independently as needed.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products or willingness to learn

**Salary**: $18.65 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Weekend availability
