**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The Security Officer oversees the safety and security of the hotel guests and employees. This person will follow safety and security standards and complete incident reports as required.

**Some of the responsibilities include**:

- Responsible for responding to guest and employee emergencies
- Completing incident reports and investigations related to guest safety and security
- Providing basic first aid and emergency mitigation for guests and colleagues
- Creating and implementing safety and security protocols and procedures for the hotel
- Distribution, communication, and training of all procedures as well as crucial security topics
- Participation in all risk and safety audits within the hotel
- Regular monitoring/walking of hotel premises
- Managing all security needs for VIP guests and their arrivals on the property
- Maintain outstanding customer service in all interactions with guests and colleagues

**Qualifications**:
**EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- A genuine desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
- Refined verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and walk moderate distances
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Proficient in basic computer skills
- Previous security experience is preferred
- Must have a valid Ontario Security Guard license
