We are looking to fill **DAY** shift positions.

**DAY shift is Monday to Friday 6:50am to 3:20pm.**

**Job Duties (but not limited to)**:

- Assist welders during the welding process by holding and positioning materials, as well as handling tools and equipment as directed
- Assist in preparing materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal surfaces to ensure proper fit and finish
- Help set up welding machines, tools, and other equipment required for specific welding tasks
- Transport raw materials and finished metal products manually, using hoists, overhead cranes, or other devices
- Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal and other materials
- Clean work areas and equipment regularly
- Load and unload vehicles using hand truck or dolly
- May cut, grind or chip excess metal from metal
- Assist in some Stud welding
- Timber deck building
- Other duties as required

**Requirements**:

- Previous steel shop related experience would be considered an asset
- Welding Foundations course is preferred
- A dedicated team player
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced and physical environment
- Enthusiasm for learning and developing welding skills
- Must also be self-motivated, and demonstrate effective communication skills

**Salary**: $24.41 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Vernon, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
