**Mechanical Assembler needed in Ottawa**

ABSOPULSE Electronics Ltd. has been designing and manufacturing high-quality and customized power conversion equipment and systems since 1982. We are looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join our Final Assembly group. Previous work experience is not required, and training will be provided.

Type: Contract position

**Requirements**:

- Read work orders and schematic diagrams, follow production drawings and sample assemblies
- Crimp, stake, screw, bolt, rivet, weld, solder, cement, press fit, or perform similar operations to join or secure parts in place
- use machines that press, shape, or wind component parts
- Adjust or trim materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics
- Connect harnesses, valves and other electronic components to complete assemblies.
- Make visual inspections and follow checklists.
- Identify problems and bring them to the attention of the Manufacturing Engineers and/or the Supervisor.
- Follow material handling guidelines.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical components is an asset.
- Must have your own transportation because public transportation is not available in the area.
