**Speech-Language Pathologist (Hybrid Role - In-Person Assessments and Virtual CDA Supervision)**

**Caseload areas**:
1to1 Rehab is currently recruiting full-time, part-time, and casual Speech-Language Pathologists to supervise Communication Disorders Assistants (CDAs) in Toronto and York Region in a hybrid role under secure Ministry funding. The assessment would be completed at schools in-person by the Speech-Language Pathologist, speech therapy would be delivered at schools in person by the CDAs, and supervision would occur virtually. Scheduling by the SLP is flexible. All clinical reporting is online. Extensive clinical library resources and clinical education are available.

**Responsibilities**:

- Providing in-person pediatric SLP assessments to school-aged children focused on articulation, phonology, motor speech, fluency, and voice
- Providing evidence-based assessment considering function and abilities and developing SMART goals
- Providing regular clinical supervision to CDAs who are providing speech therapy using relevant best practice guidelines and clinical expertise
- Actively engaging in all aspects of the therapy program so that the CDA is supported, and that the child/family are feeling supported in their learning
- Collaborating with family, teacher, and child’s team
- Evaluating the effectiveness of the intervention, response, and progress towards goal attainment.

**Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Registration with CASLPO and in good standing
- Excellent assessment and intervention skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Experience with speech sound disorders, fluency, voice, and developmental language
- Willingness to use telepractice tools to facilitate communication
- Excellent communication and analytic skills, with strong organizational abilities
- Innovative and creative therapy skills to enhance engagement
- Willingness to learn and collaborate with innovative therapy intervention
- Proof of professional liability insurance
- Completion of a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check
