This is a seasonal position commencing on September 4th 2024 and concluding on October 31, 2024.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform set-ups for public and private functions including moving furniture, setting up stage and delivering and setting up audiovisual equipment.
- Read and interpret floor plans for functions.
- Clean and maintain all areas within the RBG Centre.
- Ensure adequate cleaning supplies by maintaining inventory levels and order as required.
- Remove garbage and sort recycling materials.
- Receive and unload supplies to RBG Centre and deliver as required.
- Participate as required in building security: (lock and unlock doors)
- Operate and maintain through routine maintenance of audio-visual equipment, carpet cleaner, vacuum cleaners, scrubbing machine, genie lift and floor polishers.
- **This job is mainly evenings and weekends with daytime and holidays as needed.**

**Requirements**:

- Experience required to clean a multipurpose facility and various spaces normally acquired through training, experience, or combination of both.
- Ability and experience using a variety of cleaning equipment (including but limited to carpet/vacuum cleaners, scrubbing machine, genie lift, floor polishers). Ability to deliver, operate, maintain, and set up audiovisual equipment.
- Oral and written communication skills to read and understand cleaning instructions and SDS sheets as well as event floor plans. Interpersonal and collaboration skills to work with other internal staff to prepare event spaces according to specific instructions and to seek clarity when instructions are not clear or not possible.
- At all times and specifically in peak periods of operations, the position must exercise time management and prioritization skills to ensure all deliverables and timelines are met in accordance with client requirements.
- Analytical and problem resolution skills required to resolve issues that may arise both in cleaning & maintenance and event support to ensure cleaning schedules and standards are maintained and to ensure events spaces are set up in a timely manner and in accordance with client requirements.
- Experience working in customer facing environment to collaborate with clients and RBG staff as required to ensure client requirements are met according to standards.

**Working Conditions**
- Primarily indoors with the occasional outside function.
- Ability to lift, move and set up event furniture and assets which include but not limited to tables, chairs, podiums, stages, audio visual equipment for events, activations, and functions.
- Driver’s license in class G. In good standing to be able to drive to various locations around property in RBG fleet vehicle.
