**Job Description - Overlay Technician/Welder**
**Who we are**:
**The opportunity**:
**Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
- Application of tungsten carbide overlays, using the SF Lance (thermal spray) or PTAW (welding) processes, to desired thickness and coverage on a variety of steel components.
- Assist in the assembly and disassembly of major components.
- Use hand and power tools including grinders, saws, drills etc.
- Use work-handling equipment (overhead cranes, forklift, pallet jacks, wheeled carts etc) to transfer materials.
- Inspection of components before, during and after processing.
- Maintenance of welding, thermal spray and work handling equipment as required.
- Maintain the work area in a clean, safe and organized manner.
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
**Other requirements are**:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic knowledge of shop tools and materials. Experience working “with your hands” is considered and asset.
- Knowledge of/experience with PTAW, thermal spray and welding processes (C Ticket) considered an asset
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Available to work occasional overtime and day or night shift as required.

**Salary**: $18.00-$32.00 per hour
